Canons and Constitutions

Canonically Ordered

Reach Missions is a canonically ordered Anglican missionary society organized under the Anglican Mission Society Global.

In its early years, Reach was formed through prayer, counsel, and careful drafting among bishops and presbyters who desired to cultivate a missionary movement marked by zeal, creativity, and accountability. Those foundational labors produced the first Constitution and Canons, establishing doctrinal clarity and structural coherence.

In July 2025, Reach North America was re-imagined and re-ordered as Reach Global Missions. This development did not abandon our original vision. It deepened and strengthened it. What originally began as missionary work in the U.S. was later recognized as a missionary society worldwide.

Today, Reach stands:

  • Creedally rooted in the historic faith once delivered to the saints.

  • Missionally driven toward the proclamation of the Gospel in every sphere of life.

  • Canonically ordered under episcopal oversight in the Anglican tradition.

Our Constitution and Canons provide more than an administrative structure. They safeguard doctrine, define authority, establish processes for ordination and discipline, and ensure that freedom and accountability are joined to mission and accountability.

Reach North America - Constitution And Canons

Reach is bishop-led and council-ruled. Our Missionary Bishops serve as shepherds and guardians of the apostolic faith. Our Missional Council governs by common consent, seeking the mind of Christ in unity and charity.

As an Anglican missionary society, Reach operates within the historic episcopate and in recognized apostolic succession. Our canonical order binds us not to institutional preservation, but to faithful mission. It ensures that innovation remains orthodox, zeal remains disciplined, and expansion remains ecclesially accountable.

In all things, canonical order serves the Gospel. In a word, Mission is what defines Reach Global Missions.
